Jennifer is impelled by a longing for affinity and nearness that she can never allow. Only one important thing is left for her: Everything... But not as it is! The pieces to her puzzle are coming together on this very day. Today´s basketball- tournament must be the incident that will forever end her affliction.
After living in the USA, Denmark and Portugal, Steffen Cornelius Tralles has returned to beautiful Northern Germany.
The first steps he did in the filmindustry were for an internship at a TV series. As a freelancer he was offered to do various assistant jobs and shortly after Key PA and 2nd AD. After two years he was hired as a Production Manager at a TV series. That job was followed by many assignments of production managment in the advertising industry, where he more and more started to do 1st ADing as well. Added to that he worked as a 1st AD on shorts, which encouraged him to direct a short in 2005.
After seven years of practice, Steffen started to study film at the European Film College, where he mainly focused on screenwriting, directing and acting. He completed his master's degree in directing at the Hamburg Media School. His 1st- and 2nd -semester- films were nominated for various awards and screened at over 70 festivals worldwide. With his graduation film „Listenhunde (mutts)" he won, among others, the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award and was nominated for the Max Ophüls Award.
His screenplay debut "When the sun goes down" was funded by the Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig Holstein. With his company good seasons film he produced the dark comedy "Fish for the hostage“, which he also directed and co-wrote. The film premiered with nominations for the Hof Gold Award (Best Directorial Debut), as well as for the sponsorship award New German Cinema at the Internationale Hofer Filmtage. In Nice the film won Best Lead Actor award, in London Best Editing, an Honorable Mention at the Santa Monica International Film Festival and a nomination for the John Garfield Award for Best Actor. The film will be released in German theaters in 2022.
Today Steffen is working on the screenplay for his next feature and as director in advertising.
Steffen is a member of the German Federal Association of Directors (Bundesverband Regie, BVR).

Steffen Cornelius Tralles lebt nach Lebensphasen in USA, Dänemark und Portugal heute wieder im wunderschönen Norddeutschland.
Seine Laufbahn in der Filmbranche begann er mit einem Praktikum bei einer Fernsehserie. Es folgten Assistenzen und Setaufnahmeleitungen und dann die 1. Aufnahmeleitung bei u.a „Großstadtrevier“ und vielen Werbefilmen. In der Werbebranche sammelte er auch seine ersten Erfahrungen als Regieassistent und erweiterte dies auf Kurzspielfilme bis er 2005 selbst als Regisseur bei einem Kurzfilm debütierte. Nach 7 Jahren Praxis, begann er am European Film College zu studieren, wo er sich hauptsächlich auf Drehbuch, Regie und Schauspiel fokussierte. Dem folgte sein Regie-Master-Studiengang an der Hamburg Media School, wo er bereits durch seine Erst- und Zweitsemester Filme, die bei über 70 Festivals weltweit liefen und für diverse Preise nominiert wurden, auf sich aufmerksam machte. Mit seinem Abschlussfilm „Listenhunde“ gewinnt er u.a. den Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis und wird für den Max Ophüls Preis nominiert. Steffens Langfilm- Drehbuch- Debüt „Wenn die Sonne untergeht“ wird von der Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig Holstein gefördert.
Als Produzent, Regisseur und Co-Autor produzierte er mit seiner Firma good seasons film die düstere Komödie „Fisch für die Geisel“, die mit Nominierungen für den Hofer Goldpreis (Bestes Regie-Debüt), sowie für den Förderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino bei den Internationalen Hofer Filmtage ihre Premiere feierte. Es folgten in Nizza der Preis für Best Lead Actor, in London Bester Schnitt, sowie eine Honorable Mention beim Santa Monica International Filmfestival und eine Nominierung für den John Garfield Award für Best Actor. "Fisch für die Geisel" kommt im Jahr 2022 in die deutschen Kinos.
Heute arbeitet Steffen am Drehbuch seines zweiten Spielfilms, sowie als Regisseur in der Werbung.
Steffen ist Mitglied im Bundesverband Regie (BVR).
